I originally painted “Fae Resurrected” in watercolour, coloured pencil + ink on cold press watercolour paper. This listing is for a printed reproduction of the artwork.

I was inspired by the Monarch butterfly as a symbol of resurrection. Around the world, people view the butterfly as representing endurance, change, hope, and life; this is also reflective of the stage in motherhood I currently find myself in and love to bring the natural elements in with one of the Monarch butterfly's favourite flowers as the mother becomes one with nature she rises and transforms into the elemental faerie.
